My Fave T-Shirt Right Now
I wear a lot of t-shirts, but to be honest I have a lot of trouble finding the right fit. Too thin, too tight, etc. I saw this one online, and then recognized it on someone who walked past me not the street. It’s thick enough to be able to dress up, but still casual enough.
Doula Approved! 3 Favourite Postpartum Must-Haves
After nearly 20 years in the fast-paced world of marketing and advertising, I made a major life change. Inspired by the births of my three children, I took the leap into becoming a doula. Each of their births was a deeply transformative experience, leaving me feeling both empowered and a little bit magical. Now, instead of pitching ideas to clients, I’m channeling that energy into supporting growing families—guiding them through fertility, birth, and postpartum, which has become my true passion.
Here are my 3 favorite postpartum must-haves as a postpartum doula:
Before we get into these magical undies, let’s give a huge shoutout to FridaMom. Finally, a company focused on creating products that support pregnant people and birthers. Three big cheers!
Back to the task at hand. 9 years ago when I had my first baby, I remember shopping at Walmart for the largest Hanes underwear I could find and still they dug in and were completely uncomfortable. Enter the Fridamom Boyshort Disposable Postpartum Underwear. The stretchy mesh fabric means no digs, no pressure, and comfort level x 100. My clients who have had c-sections also rave about the ease of taking these off and on after surgery.
While this is labeled as a nursing cushion, I would recommend this pillow for anyone pregnant or postpartum (no matter your feeding journey). What do I like most? It is so squishy. That’s right - it squishes and smooshes and will fit in all the places we need it to. When feeding your baby, having the right kind of support can protect your back, promote better posture and remove pressure on your pelvic floor. Clients also love this pillow after a c-section since it is so malleable.
These remain the top nursing pads in my opinion. The soft fabric is gentle against sore nipples, they are so easy to wash (throw in with your other baby laundry - unscented detergent please). And can we talk about the size - they are big - and that is exactly what a postpartum nipple needs? Five thumbs up for these guys! PS: They have a variety pack that includes their overnight heart-shaped pads.

Yes, I am in a bit of a crunch writing this newsletter but that' doesn’t mean these aren’t great meatballs. They are personally my fave and have over 700+ 5-star reviews. But yes, some may find them a bit soft.
My family is visiting for Thanksgiving and then I am off to Mexico City for a little break! Please feel free to follow along on my Instagram Stories!
I finally read The Missing Sister and learned a lot about the conflict in Ireland - something I’d wanted to do more of since watching Derry Girls. Any reccomendations on where to learn more are welcome.
